We've made a fantastic deal for our loyal Dudes Members: we'll be bottling our two 1986 Invergordons as 40-year-olds in May! Cask number 23654 has been in a second-fill PX hogshead for over four years, and cask 23655 has also been in a second-fill Oloroso quarter cask for over four years. Both whiskies were casked the day before Chernobyl exploded, and we'll definitely be using that on the label! Speaking of the label, you'll receive personalized and numbered bottles in a bespoke box.
This Invergordon will NOT be available in stores as a 40-year-old, so it's a true Members Only Exclusive! It comes with a very competitive Members Only price: €189 per bottle, or €378 per share.
There are a maximum of 100 units available, each consisting of one bottle (70cl) from cask 23654 and one bottle from cask 23655A. Don't miss out on these exclusive bottles!
Invergordon 1986 Project
Vat 23654A
Nose : Essentially old-school malt at its finest! A stunning nose: round, silky smooth, and perfectly balanced, full and mature, with an almost insane layering. Ripe strawberries and cherries are framed by soft herbs, wet leaves, forest scents, and earthy notes.
Palate : velvety smooth and full, never heavy. The depth continues to unfold with dried red fruit, ras el hanout, and a hint of currant.
Finish : buttery smooth, long and warm, with cherry sauce, soft spiciness and fresh minerality that lingers elegantly, opening florally and caressing the palate with refined length and a calm, harmonious finish.Vat 23655A:
Nose : Silky and exceptionally smooth, as expected from this old invers. Ripe red fruit floats alongside floral notes, Arabic spices, waxed leather, and subtle charcoal smoke. An expressive, elegant nose full of finesse.
Palate : Smooth and oily, remarkably mature. Initially fragile, it quickly reveals body and harmony on the palate. Golden berry, passion fruit, orange zest, nuts, and soft winter herbs.
Finish : Long, floral and refined, with cloves, autumnal notes and gingerbread spices that leave a creamy, warm and lingering film on the palate, fading slowly.
