Most of you guys already had the pleasure enyoying our 50 yo Cuban rum. And you know we bottled half the cask back in 2024 and aim to bottle the remaining half later, preferably as 55 yo. But here's an issue as we know there's more air in the cask now and that reacts to the rum. And boy, did that made an impact! We sample our Cuban every year in November and last year we were already impressed with it's progress! And this year's sample just makes us doubt if it's even possible to improve on next years sample... So, we decided to offer you something special and exclusive at a fair price!

Nose; Initially, not even rum immediately. Then, unmistakably rum on the nose. It's all a few notches better than the 50-year-old version. Even roudner, riper and fuller. Cane sugar and molasses are certainly released with a touch of hand warmth, but never overpowering. Gergeous layers of cigar tobacco and classic leather, antique wood, cedar and dried spices. Toffee, figs, marzipan. It just goes on and on! So many incredible deep layers here!
Palate; Liquid toffee. Not just in taste, mouthfeel as well. It's so thick, soft and syrupy. Caramel candy, crémê brûlée. Lear again, tobacco notes, marzipan, ripe banana's. Dried cherry, walnut and a hint of smoke.
Finish; She fades slowly and tastefully after a long, very long finish! Finish is essentailly a long summary of the nose and palate. What's left are flavors of old, alsmost sherry-infused wood, leather, a touch of nutmeg and cigar leaves. To be enjoyed with loved ones!
